16 weeks pregnant. Wow, I can’t even believe it. I really think I can confidently say that I’m officially turning that ever-elusive corner everyone kept saying was coming! These past few days have been mostly great with a few random nauseous moments thrown in. What a relief and blessing and a fun way to spend our time in Bellingham! Thank You, Lord!
Yaffie is approximately the size of an avocado (around 4.5 inches long from crown to rump). We are eager to see him on an ultrasound this Friday! We hope to find out what we are having at the end of this month.
My little bump is growing and as everything expands, my sciatic nerve pain that started around 10 weeks is getting more pronounced. I will see my favorite chiropractor this Friday and then try to ice and stretch faithfully. It’s certainly tolerable now, but I’m thinking by the time I’m nine months pregnant it could really be a problem if I don’t work on it early.
Pregnancy is awe-inspiring and magical, except we know it isn’t really magic. It’s God’s power and creativity on display in a breathtaking way. I cannot believe there is a little person developing inside me. Next milestone? Feeling those first little tiny kicks!
